CILT Program suspended for 2020Campers in Leadership TrainingThe Camper in Leadership Training program is for rising sixth graders who want to take part in all the fun camp activities while developing leadership skills. Most of the time, Campers in Leadership Training (CILTs) are regular campers who are expected to be role models for younger students. They also get access to our Counselor Handbook (a compilation of leadership advice from various counselor training programs such as the YMCA and Girl Scouts overnight camps) and attend our counselor training meeting. During the week of camp, CILTs have the opportunity to lead at least two activities for the younger campers and will be guided by our older counselors so that they graduate the program confident in their new leadership skills.

Schedule for Campers in Leadership Training
- CILTs attend the counselor training program in the afternoon on the weekend before camp.
- During the week of camp, each CILT will lead at least two different activities.
- Between the meeting and the presentation of their activity, CILTs are expected to have practiced leading each of their activities at least once for their parents, siblings, nanny, grandparents or friends.
- On Friday, each CILT will have their own station at the parent open house during the last hour of camp on Friday. Campers and their guests will have the opportunity to rotate through each station. CILTs can choose their favorite activity from the week to lead during this time.
